So rested he by the Tumtum tree

We were all still reeling under the impact of Ripley's death. A grim reminder that our time in this world is fleeting. So soon after Dad, we really didn't expect it.

We had our new baby girls though. They are such a delight. I just wish Mom had been here to meet her first granddaughter.

Picasso paints quite a bit. It's one of ways we cope. Ease the heartache by putting it on canvas.

Another reminder that life goes on whether we want it to or not. Picasso had another birthday.

And he's grown up to look a lot like his dad. You've been doing something right Sis.

Not often that a boy turns teen then goes to care for a baby. Especially when that baby is his cousin.

Then it was Elizabeth's turn and nearly the whole house went to see her.

I decided to take another holiday. We offered to take Picasso along if Brooke would look after Catherine.

Sounds good for Picasso. I'm not a traveller like you Johnny.

Even after we arrived, I was still distracted by Mom's death.

I decided to try making nectar. The first part is squishing the fruit. Actually, the first part is getting fruit but the nectary has a vineyard just beside it.

I don't think the locals squish it by falling on the fruit though.

At least my machine worked properly.

Unlike Alaina. She was trying to repair hers but that went very badly.

  1. Cool update Pib. Johnny's looking really gooood there standing by the crib and Picasso is a very cute teen.

*laughing* Every time I see somone fall into that vat of juicy stuff I kept help but think how I really would not want to be drinking that.

LOL, Alaina is having a vey hard time there.

  2. I was about to change the publish time to add more stuff but was too late - it had been pushed out. LOL I like scheduled publishing - I seem to be getting more out now.

Johnny is a good looking Sim. I like the way the tats on the stomach and back came out - still not sure about his arm ones.

the nectar gets cooked so I'm sure it's safe to drink.

Repairs going badly, always a shocking experience.

  3. Safe to drink or not I would always think about someones butt being in it. :D

I think the arm tats look fine. I've done one very similar to the one on his belly. I think Sara now has two gnomes. I made them with wings. I haven't used the freezer bunny one yet but am sure I will some day.

I was going to post tonight but started reading everything and then it was too late. The pics are there but no narrative.

  4. I love those trips. I've been taking more and more of them when I play. It's always fun to see what the sims do while on vacation.

Hopefully, Johnny made some cash in addition to nectar. I like his tats. They make him look tougher. I think Johnny has aged well as has Picasso.

  5. Picasso is quite the looker! I usually am not all that crazy about wild hair colors, but he wears it well. ;)

Aww, I feel bad for Johnny, still sad over Ripley. :( I'm still bummed she wasn't able to make it long enough to see her new grandbaby.

lol @ Dee, can you imagine back in the good old days when they first made wine? I don't even want to think about what got into while they were squishing grapes.

I think the arm tats look cool too, but I still think it's a bit of a shame the selection that EA provided. Tattoos is one other thing I decided to download for CC, but I haven't used any of them yet. Saving them for the kids when they grow up.

  6. I'd love more variety with the tattoos. I can never get enough variety of any sort.

PiB, will you be getting Fast Lane?

  7. Hey Dee, my first thought was - well, they are at least wearing freshly washed swim suits. Then I had a moment flash of wait, he doesn't *have* to wear a swim suit. Then my brain imploded and I had to move on to other things. :)

Chrysame, I do love having trips. Johnny made a fair amount money and added a couple good pieces to his private collection.

Johnny has the best tats of any of my Sims. Only a couple have them yet, and his are definitely the most interesting.

  8. OMG! Naked grape squishing! My brain just imploded, too. *snickers*

  9. Decensor + Master Controller->Outfit + PiB = ... O.o

    Dangerous. ;)

  10. @ Chrysame I haven't decided about Fast Lane. Depends on if there's enough clothes and fashion and not merely objects. I tend to not decorate that much so objects don't rate highly. :)

@ Kaleeko. I'm surprised by how much I like that bright red on both Hans and Picasso. Normally I'm not much of one for outrageous hair but somehow it works for them.

Yes, a bigger selection of everything would be nice. But at least they gave us layering for the tats so we can make them look a bit different.

  11. I just read both your comments about naked grape squishing and nearly choked laughing. :)

I have one update worth of pics for this blog, two or so for Adventures with Sims 3, and working toward some pics for the short story blog. What to do next.

    (still laughing)

  12. Johnny fans will be disappointed to know that there is positively no naked grape squishing in the next episode.

  13. Well shucks. No naked grape squishing. LOL.

@Kaleeko The old days of actually squishing the grapes with their feet is what I think of everytime I see sims doing it. Ewwww. I know they supposedly washed their feet but still.... Ewwww. Not only that but, outdoors back then probably and all the bugs and stuff.

I still think Johnny is looking goooooood.

"Then I had a moment flash of wait, he doesn't *have* to wear a swim suit. Then my brain imploded and I had to move on to other things. :)" LMAO

  14. Oh, No! What happened at the last pic? okay, she was trying to fix it. But, why? I've never seen that before and my sims never experienced it (maybe because they were just too lazy to do it :D )
I feel bad for him. He was in vacation, but still feeling so sad. At least there is a baby and there was a birthday.

  15. Thanks Dee. You do know that Johnny can be yours for the asking.
I agree, John Edward is a fine looking Sim.

Yeah, that brain imploding moment still makes me laugh. Especially the way you are all commenting on it. LOL

Hey MJ - she was partway through making a batch of nectar when the machine broke. I didn't know they broke!

By the time they got home, the sadness from the death was over. And they found a ton of great stuff to take home.

  16. Upload him and I will grab him as soon as I have time to get back to the exchange. You never know when he may appear in one of my games.

  17. No problem. He should be happy in his new home.

  18. I'm sure he will be once the weekend rolls around so he can find a home.
